One of my favorite sights this time of year – beautiful jars of salsa and tomatoes sealed and ready to take their places on the basement shelves.
Grateful for strength to plant, care for, and harvest a garden,
grateful for the smell, taste, and beauty of all those vegetables (and the fact that they’re good for you!)
grateful for the Farmer’s Market where I could get the jalapenos my garden wasn’t producing,
grateful for the people I met there,
grateful for people to cook for and eat with,
grateful for a home,
grateful for a table and the dishes to put on it.
One thing really leads to another. Try it sometime – giving thanks for all that’s around you – if you make that a habit, you’ll never look at your life the same again. . .
